A VISTA team member will be responsible for developing and implementing a financial development plan that will provide resources aimed to enable current and future programs to meet the evolving needs of families in the region. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to grant research and narrative development, donor prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship planning, annual and special campaign support, fundraising event planning, and implementation. This position will be structure, processes and procedures that will allow MACAA to pursue more significant financial development efforts over time. Intended Change: As a result, MACAA will pursue and secure unrestricted or temporarily restricted funds that will allow for program development and enhancement in response to critical, changing community needs. These funds will support pilot programs/collaborations that mirror innovative anti-poverty approaches that have proven to be successful in similar communities/action agencies across the region and country. Processes, systems, and structures will be developed as a foundation for long-term financial development success. Changes to Project Over Time: As a result of the success of this position and increased organizational capacity, this VISTA position may pursue more advanced financial development initiatives, to include but not limited to capital campaigns, major donor campaigns, and planned giving initiatives. These efforts require a comprehensive financial development plan that will grow over time.
