Position Title: HR Administrator FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt – Hourly

Job Code: 502041 Employee Class: Hourly

Department: Administration Reports to: Office Manager

General Summary
The HR Administrator is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the administrative office functions, coordinating plant personnel matters, compliance with HR government and corporate regulations, and compliance with accounting policies.
Works under immediate supervision; relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job; job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with plant management to assist with their staffing needs o Posting jobs and screening applicants o Managing temporary agencies and employees o Compliance with pre-employment drug test screening
  • Oversees new hire and orientation process.
  • Ensures all new hires have access to the Employee Self Service system and complete their benefits enrollment.
  • Ensures employees have access to IPay to view and print their paystubs.
  • Ensures time and attendance system is accurate, and submits hours to the Payroll department on- time for processing.
  • Identifies, research, and resolve Administrative problems and opportunities
  • Assists with accounting functions in accordance with established procedures and Company policy
  • Reviewing Internal Control Checklist with Management
  • Assists in ensuring the plant complies with Federal, State and Company personnel laws and regulations, and HR policies and practices
  • Distributes and posts communication pieces and materials throughout the office and the plant as necessary
  • Ensures all personnel documents are scanned into OnBase to be filed into the employee’s personnel file
  • Completes special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required

Job Specifications

Knowledge Required

  • Minimum high school diploma with experience in administration/accounting
  • Minimum one years of experience in office administration or related areas.
  • Working knowledge in the use of computer and business related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.)
  • Skills and abilities

Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking Proficiency in the use of business math

  • Ability to understand accounting and financial data
  • Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone and email with plant administrators and co-workers
  • Ability to work hours mandated by management

Working Conditions
Working environment is generally favorable. Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Some traveling may be required.
