Instrument Man
Tower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time Instrument Man in our Survey department. As a Instrument Man, you will serve as an integral member of our Survey team. We have openings for full-time Survey Field Techs in our Raleigh, NC office. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel and work out of town for short periods (1 – 2 weeks) of time occasionally. Candidate should have the following skills and requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-
- Familiar with survey equipment (robotics and GPS) and procedures
- Self-motivated and organized
- Team player
- Good communication and technical skills
- Familiar with data collection software
- Familiar with CAD drawings
- Clean driving record
Essential Functions-
- Ability to collect field data in organized, neat, professional manner
- Accurately measure land and improvements (horizontally and vertically)
- Locate reference points to determine the exact location of desired features
- Find and review records (survey plats and land titles) to assist with finding desired features
- Search for evidence to determine location of boundary lines
- Download data and insert into CAD drawing
Work Environment/Physical Demands-
- Outdoor work (may stand for long periods, walk long distances, occasionally in non-ideal weather)
- Willing to travel – day trips, overnight trips, occasional extended trips
- Some project sites may require long drives to reach
- Occasionally required to lift and/or carry 50 pounds or less

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
