SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8:00am-4:00pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.0 Receives food and nonfood items from vendors; verifies orders for accuracy, proper receiving temperatures and quality; stocks food and nonfood inventory in correct storage locations within storerooms, refrigerators, and freezers to par levels. Keeps supplies rotated according to date marking procedures and “first in-first out” inventory control method. Reports shipping problems, such as shortages, wrong items shipped, no purchase order number, damages, etc. Documents and follows up, as necessary.

2.0 Assists Nutrition Services Purchasing Technician with monitoring of inventory and processing of invoices.

3.0 Performs cleaning duties according to schedule, sanitation and safety standards.

a. cleans, mops and sanitizes refrigerators, freezers, storerooms, shelves and drawers.

b. performs cleaning of major food service equipment.

c. collects waste from area and places it in designated areas or compactor.

4.0 Works as a Nutrition Services Production staff member for vacation and holiday schedule coverage. May involve cooking, cafeteria services, office, or dishroom/sanitation duties.

5.0 Adheres to HACCP and ISDH sanitation standards; participates and promotes Performance Improvement activities

6.0 Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and hospital policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

7.0 Performs other related duties as assigned.
