Wedgewood Pharmacy’s Learning and Development Leader acts as a strategic and supportive partner for all of Wedgewood Pharmacy’s people through the design and implementation of learning and development and onboarding programs and resources. The Learning and Development Leader seeks to identify and implement the tools, information and skills people will need to be successful at Wedgewood Pharmacy and to deliver on our mission of improving the lives of animals and those who love them. Focused on the growth and retention of Wedgewood Pharmacy’s people, the Learning and Development Leader proactively collaborates with stakeholders to identify development needs in support of business objectives and create impactful solutions. This role will act as a “culture carrier” and serve as a leader within the People Success team with a service mindset in support of all of Wedgewood Pharmacy’s people.

Where will you work?

  • This is a full-time position working in our Swedesboro, NJ office.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and lead the enterprise-wide learning and development strategy, including technical skills, professional skills, and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, the People Success Team and other key stakeholders to understand and analyze learning needs to aid decisions related to instructional design and learning outcomes to close performance gaps.
  • Create and curate a range of learning experiences including instructor-led training (ILT) design, interactive e-learning modules, videos, job aids, facilitator guides, and resource materials to execute against the Learning and Development strategy.
  • Partner with the Quality & Compliance team to ensure that people have the required quality and compliance skills and knowledge and that regulatory requirements are met.
  • Support Regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Develop and implement first-day orientation and new-to-role training for new hires and people who are newly promoted across the organization.
  • Design and facilitate professional and management development programs for entry through advanced level employees.
  • Design, implement and maintain Wedgewood Academy as a focal point for all learning and development experiences and as a critical resource in career paths and career development.
  • Drive results and ensure program success by measuring learning outcomes and by analyzing internal and external data to quantify and qualify impact.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding program details and design.
  • Continually find opportunities for improvement and implement those changes.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensure data is accurate and easily reportable.
  • Remain current on emerging trends in the learning and development space to bring cutting-edge learning approaches and practices (e.g., ILT, VILT, digital, cohorts, and other modalities).
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of People Development Partners and Learning Consultants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge they need to effectively design and implement learning solutions.
  • Manage external vendor relationships.

  • You have a proven track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, strong attention to detail and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Feel confident in your demonstrated ability to develop relevant metrics, analyze data and make recommendations based on insights from data
  • Proficient in software applications including MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Teams, Zoom and Articulate

What you’ve done:

  • Obtained a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Development, Learning Design, Psychology, Education, Human Resources or related field and/or certifications in a variety of L&D areas
  • Have 5+ years professional experience designing, implementing and facilitating learning solutions for a variety of formats and audiences
  • 3+ years’ experience in needs analysis, instructional design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning programs
  • 2+ years’ experience leading and developing a team of learning and development professionals
  • Experience working in pharmaceuticals, medical devices or other cGMP regulated environment
  • Have formal training in adult learning, instructional design and training delivery
