Position: Maintenance Technician

Job Details :

Experience, Educational and Training Preferences:

  • Maintain all equipment within facility and grounds.
  • Provide technical support for Kaizen program and production.
  • Provide technical assistance to outside contractors and vendors.
  • Fabricate equipment and parts as required.
  • Prepare oral and written reports.
  • Respond to all emergency alarms and perform tasks as directed by the emergency coordinator.
  • Participate in all emergency evacuation drills in accordance with the guidelines as described in the RAG Plan of Emergency Action (P.E.A.)
  • Dispose of used oil, universal waste, & electronic waste in accordance with RAG written procedures.
  • Respond to chemical spills as directed by the emergency coordinator, including proper disposal.
  • Prefer a High School graduate with two to four years’ experience in a related field or two years technical school.
  • Knowledge of the use of hand tools.
  • Use of computers and CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of basic and advanced machine shop practices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of computers, PLC’s and basic electronics.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to weld and cut metal using a torch.
  • Familiar with safety procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
  • Familiar with rigging and lifting procedures.
  • Familiar with fabrication, piping and structural requirements.
  • Attend and pass training classes for First Aid and CPR certification that will prepare you for participation in the emergency response team. Attend emergency response training annually. Attend CUPA and Universal Waste training classes every three years.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and to work in adverse temperature climates. Ability to work heights and confining spaces.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds
  • Be able to work in an environment that is climate controlled but is exposed to potential heat, rain, and cold

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
