SUMMARY

In compliance with Federal Law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Working under general supervision and with moderate difficulty, this position is responsible for providing information to individuals eligible for or receiving Medicare and Medicaid benefits, to assist them in making educated health care coverage decisions that best meet their needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides accurate and reliable information to individuals regarding various health care plans and options, including qualification requirements, enrollment, and benefits
  • Assists individuals in completing applications for health care coverage to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assists individuals in addressing health care coverage issues to ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution
  • Maintains and updates client contact records to ensure accurate reporting and program compliance

Other related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma / GED; and two years’ experience in a Medicare or Medicaid related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Physical Activity: Frequent listening, talking, sitting, finger use, and repetitive motion. Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping.

Physical exertion: _X_ Sedentary; __ Light; ___Medium; ___ Heavy; ___ Very Heavy. Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amounts of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; involves sitting most of the time.

Working conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
