Main Position Objectives:

This role will facilitate deployment and execution of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement Processes and Projects with the goal to improve productivity and value streams across the Americas facilities. Targeted are significant improvements to value stream processes with the aim of making them effective, effortless and efficient and eliminating “waste”. Collaborate with local Operations leadership to focus on the continuous improvement of processes impacting the overall customer experience. Achieve objective performance improvement results through capability building, practiced leadership and coaching, and deployment of Dover OPEX and Lean Sigma tools and systems. Integrate all functions and leadership to implement the methodology and strategy.


Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies:

  • Drives continuous improvement activity and methodologies in material flow, organization (6S), standardization, quality, safety and delivery.
  • Utilizes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business drivers to synchronize and prioritize improvement activity.
  • Executes improvement areas/gaps utilizing lean tools including value stream mapping of key business processes at Maag Americas locations.
  • Supports the improvement of Inventory/Aftermarket activities, including accuracy of physical inventory, inventory levels/turns, packaging accuracy and speed. Identify new methods and technology to improve these activities including Industry 4.0 Standardization principles.
  • Drives change with inefficient transactional processes within the primary value streams.
  • Drives improvements in design for manufacturing and value engineering with close relationship with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
  • Drives change and implement customer value added services focused towards Aftermarket/Spare Parts value stream.
  • Excites the team, improve participation, overcome negativity – demonstrate leadership without having direct reporting responsibility.


Education and professional experience:

Mandatory

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
  • 5+ years experience in Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience managing cross-functional, operational-critical programs.


Desirable

  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in customer facing positions.
  • Experience in Aftermarket.
