Produce Team Member
Brookhaven Marketplace is a chain of family owned; customer focused local stores in the south west suburbs of Chicago, IL. With locations in Darien, Mokena and Burr Ridge we strive to bring the communities we serve the finest foods from around the world.
Requires flexibility to work a varied work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Fresh produce is among the most sought after products by our customers and is considered a key department in our stores. The Produce Team Member provides the highest quality product and service to customers. Key areas of responsibility include proper stocking and rotation of merchandise in the Produce Department including trimming, watering and merchandising of product to ensure fresh, high quality offerings. This position ensures proper inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability, and answers questions from customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Required:
- Demonstrate ability to provide excellent customer service
- Demonstrated strength in the following areas: work skills, written and verbal communication, problem solving, leadership, interpersonal skills and motivation.
- Maintains proper quality and conditions of product
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, repeated bending, squatting, twisting and stretching, repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs. during a standard shift.
