We also provide nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, respiratory therapy, and neuroscience care, including neurosurgery and stroke.

Here’s What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • 5 Years of progressive experience in community relations, community outreach or public health; including without limitation extensive prior experience as liaison with business, civic and governmental leaders in the community
  • Exemplary levels of written and oral communication.

What You Will Do

Brand Management

  • Coordinate brand experience through monitoring social media platforms and public comments that potentially impact the hospital in conjunction with hospital leadership and Brand Experience
  • Coordinate messaging and advocacy regarding public relation issues, legislation, ordinances with hospital leadership and THR Government Affairs department
  • Monitor the distribution of external facing communications
  • Actively participate in the hospital’s internal communications committee
  • Actively promote a positive public image of the hospital and respond to the needs of various internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to maintain corporate partnerships
  • Serve as a Promise Champion and promote modeling of Texas Health HEB values externally
  • Collaborate with service excellence project manager to support and develop strategies to move patient, employee and physician satisfaction to top decile performance

Community Relations

  • Works collaboratively with THHEB hospital leadership, physicians, care team members, THR Foundation, Friends of HEB, and Scrubs Events.
  • Serves as an effective resource to various stakeholders, advisory, consumer, and community groups.
  • Actively promotes a positive public image of THHEB/THR and is responsive to the needs and desires of various stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with leadership at THR System Services and other key community stakeholders.
  • Actively identify and recruit participants for the Friends of HEB, suggest ideas and programs.
  • Set up community meetings and tours for Hospital Leadership.
  • Look for opportunities to submit articles including MyTexasHealth.org, media, THA magazine, ISD Newsletters, Chamber email blasts, etc. Submit articles and pictures involving THR physicians to Medical Staff Office.
  • Serves Northeast Tarrant community in leadership capacity by supporting and partnering with systems/programs in multiple area ISDs, municipal governments (mayor/city manager liaison), chambers of commerce, Education Foundation and non-profit organizations-providing THHEB the opportunity to support the community based on its needs and interests.

Event Management

  • Leads Community Health and Benefit activities, including recruitment/education of active community health and benefit council and community health needs assessment/execution in alignment with THR system initiatives.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates community health improvement projects, strategies and partnerships in alignment with CHNA. Tracks and reports CBISA data.
  • Creates community linkage for faith community nursing program, stroke, cancer, trauma, heart and chest pain programs.
  • Coordinate local CTO projects for entity employees, communicate opportunities and engage employees in supporting community improvement efforts. Report, track and submit community benefit measures and ensure entity compliance with all CBISA tracking guidelines.
  • Manages THHEB sponsorship budget, establish vendors as necessary, initiate payments to vendors, vets sponsorship requests, fulfills marketing/advertising in alignment with brand experience requirements.
  • Oversees promotional items, table invitations and hosting responsibilities for all major Northeast Tarrant County non-profit organizations/events.

Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Pkwy., Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; may include attendance at events outside of normal business hours
