Title: Project Manager Facilities Management (Operations Coordinator) Level: 4167


CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS:


Under direction, assists the Director and provides overall direction and management in the areas of repairs maintenance.


Oversees professional management responsibilities including administration, planning, scheduling, and staff coordination. Manages all in-house Trades-related special event requests including working with region staff to ensure staff and equipment availability and maintaining spreadsheets of all event information and Trades needed. Distributes spreadsheets to Facility Management and Region staff on a weekly basis to ensure all events are captured and accounted for.


Facilitates a close working relationship between administrative staff and building Engineer and Trades for the administrative headquarters. Duties include submitting service requests for work requested at the administrative headquarters and following-up on these requests with the Trades. Also responsible for overseeing the custodial staff at the administrative headquarters ensuring that the cleanliness of the buildings and facilities are maintained and any issues are addressed.


DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Training and Experience:


Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field supplemented by five years of experience managing various aspects of broad-based public service or customer service settings


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively build teams and coordinate individuals across departments and organizational lines for successful outcomes.
  • Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and see them through to conclusion.
  • Ability to interact effectively with high level internal leadership, external partners, elected and non-profit officials.
  • Ability to handle certain sensitive information discretely and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to plan, prepare and track budgets as needed for special projects or services.
