House of Forgings is an established leader in the sales and distribution of luxe stair and railing products for residential and light commercial building segments. House of Forgings has aggressive plans for growth with multiple sales channels and growing distribution network. We have logistics points in Houston, Austin, and Dallas Texas, as well as operations in Conover, North Carolina and Denver, Colorado.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual, seeking growth and career opportunity to join our purchasing team. This individual would be responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items. This person should have an analytical aptitude who will help House of Forgings grow to the next level.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:

• Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
• Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
• Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
• Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
• Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.

Purchasing Agent Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position.
• Proficiency in CRM and inventory management software programs. SAPByDesign a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong organization and documentation skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.

Salary range based on experience level in the range of $50,511 to $55,000. We have an immediate need to build our existing team of experts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.28 - $26.44 per hour
