Summary

Reporting to the VP Field Finance, Event & Exhibit Services, the Regional Director Field Finance will be a key financial leader and a close partner to the business. This person will oversee the design and execution of financial accounting and reporting, payables, payroll, fixed assets and leases, and the development and implementation of related systems, controls, procedures, and policies for Freeman at the Branch level.

This position can be located in Orlando, Dallas, or Las Vegas supporting our Field Finance team and eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office/show site 4 days per week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy: Set the strategic direction for the development and deployment of financial and reporting processes that ensure compliance with and mitigate risk
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess current accounting operations and talent, offering recommendations for improvements, and implementing new processes
  • Accounting & Controls: Direct and oversee all aspects of the accounting and control functions of the organization producing timely and accurate monthly financial statements. Accountable for the development, deployment, and implementation of all company methods, procedures, and practices to safeguard the assets of the enterprise and to properly reflect its financial results. Accountable for the accurate and timely interpretation of GAAP accounting standards and the accurate incorporation of such interpretations into the company’s financial records. Oversees and controls the general accounting activities for the enterprise, including recording company transactions, classifications, and reconciliation of account balances in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.
  • Operational Finance Leader & Thought Partner: Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on financial accounting, financial reporting, and other key accounting and controls matters. Serves as a key partner to executive and senior leadership on strategic business initiative discussions by understanding and communicating the accounting and finance implications of various growth strategies and transactions
  • Data Integrity: Provides robust, reliable data with consistent definitions to present a single view of the financial and business facts to support management decisions
  • Accounting Policy: Oversees and directs accounting questions and judgments for the enterprise, in compliance with business regulations and current on the latest accounting standards
  • Audit: Support audit process for enterprise
  • Team Leader: Attract, develop, motivate, and manage a high-performance and high-potential team

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree required, CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience having occupied a director level finance position
  • Leadership presence with demonstrated ability to lead change and drive execution. Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills needed to effectively share and engage internal stakeholders. Must contribute and thrive in a dynamic high paced environment
  • Strong communication skills: able to convey a message that is clear and concise, linking business issues, accounting concepts, financial results, and strategy
  • Personal drive, energy, and the ability to work effectively in a hands-on action-oriented environment
  • A leader who values and promotes a culture of accountability—both for themselves and for others
