Safety & Training Administrative Assistant – Construction Equipment

JESCO is the exclusive John Deere Construction Equipment Dealer for the New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland region and has an immediate need for a Safety and Training Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the ongoing Safety and Training initiatives in the JESCO organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced market while achieving a high level of internal customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize all trainings for employees based on their assigned career path
  • Register employees for virtual, self-led, and in-person training
  • Consult with department managers for continuing education of their staff
  • Initiate and track all onboarding/safety training
  • Service, Sales, Parts Training Completion Reports
  • Track training compliance for JESCO Business Plan
  • Assign and track New Model Qualification training as required
  • Track compliance with JESCO’s insurance carrier for safety related follow-up from facility inspections
  • Track and Monitor programs such as
  • Lift Truck certifications
  • Annual Crane Inspections
  • Monthly Safety Meeting completion
  • MSHA Training
  • OSHA Training
  • Service Fleet Vehicle Inspections
  • Maintain and update the JESCO Safety Manual
  • Work with Branch and Corporate Safety teams
  • Prepare purchase orders for vendor supplied training as required
  • Maintain conference room reservations for meetings and trainings
  • Coordinate training classes with suppliers and vendors for JESCO hosted training classes
  • Review industry changes that may affect safety and training programs, make recommendations for additional learning paths

Job Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently & effectively with internal team members, supplier partners, and industry professionals.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment a plus.
  • Valid & Clean Driver’s license

Prior safety program or training program administrative work experience is a plus.
