Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, TGH Foundation, the Assistant Director of Development will develop creative and innovative strategies to robustly identify, cultivate, track, solicit and steward individuals capable of making gifts of $25,000+ to the TGH Foundation. This position will be responsible for developing robust donor pipeline strategies to ensure a more fluid identification and cultivation process is sustained and scaled. Represents assigned hospital service lines in fundraising and development, and capable of articulating its funding priorities, goals and mission to prospective donors. Develops and maintains close physician/clinician engagement both within and outside of service lines to contribute to grateful patient engagement and cultivation. Outlines service line related content for funding priorities for collateral pieces, proposals and impact reports in collaboration with stewardship and donor relations director. Partners with Advancement Operations team to utilize research & strong analytics to ID, call upon & visit potential prospects for engagement. Collaborates with members of the major gifts development team to plan prospect management strategies and moves management, and works with campaign committee and development team in strategizing/advancing the Elevating Excellence Campaign, while soliciting and closing leadership annual giving-level and major gift-level contributions for the campaign. Works and travels as necessary to successfully meet established goals and objectives. Other projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years development experience, or related.
- Healthcare fundraising experience desirable.
- Development knowledge and experience in annual giving, major gifts, and/or grants.
- Ability to plan strategically and manage multiple activities, projects and portfolios.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain positive relationships with donors, prospective donors, hospital, Campaign Committee, Foundation Board Members and Foundation team.
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communications.
