The Quality Assurance Lead ensures that the standards to achieve the goals on SQDCM are executed with excellence in their areas.

  • S. The HSE (Health, safety and environmental) and compliance standards are performed, assisting when needed for HSE assessment, for example, for the BOS (Behavior Observation Surveys) and Risk Prediction standard practices.
  • Q. That FSQ (Food Safety and Quality) standards are followed in the area, for example GMP and 5S. Leading by example and engaging in 5S inspection when requested.
  • D. The delivery from quality standards is met. As is measured by their assigned work duties and reliability, as well as communicating opportunities in the work area.
  • C. That the tasks assigned are executed with minimum waste and communicating opportunities to eliminate waste other cost saving opportunities.
  • M. That they contribute positively to the Morale and Organization Health, by leading by example. That the work can be executed according to their JD (Job Description) to the highest level. They are responsible for working together in harmony, sharing ideas, working to gain their knowledge among their peers.
  • To ensure excellence in execution of their work processes and continuous loss elimination in their area.
  • To ensure delivery of all key performance indicators (KPI’s) assigned to their area.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

  • S. HSE – follow the safe practices while working with others to improve the safety culture within the area assigned and preventative actions through improving behaviors (BOS). In addition, taking care of conditions of risk (Safety Risk Trigger) in their area.
  • Q. FSQ – Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, 5S, Quality Standards Right the First Time.
  • D. Delivery – Performs assigned tasks and assists in making sure the quality of our products is within our standards.
  • C. Cost – Performs assigned tasks to a level that helps reduce waste of products.
  • M. Morale – Exceed attendance requirements, productivity, culture survey engagement and follows the practice of the corporate conduct manual.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES

  • Record and track output of production while overseeing two to three production lines. Also verifies the paperwork that the other quality control employees are completing.
  • Perform metal detector calibration checks, scale calibrations and gas flush checks.
  • Oversees and assists QA team when managers are not in the facility.
  • Is able to locate metal in a product, if the metal detector detects a foreign metal material and logs the foreign material in the foreign material log.
  • Completes label verifications and export verifications as needed.
  • Observe and report deviations from your developed standards of material inspections, before and after production and completed pallet inspections.
  • Inspection of in process production by confirming specifications and conducting organoleptic testing.
  • Daily submission of recorded data for further analysis.
  • Preforms upkeep of hold log and creates waste sheets of product intended for garbage.
  • Inspection of pallets on hold and rejects or returns unacceptable materials.
  • Work with production supervisors and laborers to promote lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Work with production schedulers to develop an optimum order of operation for daily schedule.
  • Assists in fermented product quality by verifying the quality and readiness of items in the peeling cooler ready to be used.
  • Oversees the peeling and packing rooms production.
  • Trained in basic food safety violations including Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Is capable of being trained in any production room at any of our three facilities.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures.
  • Completes our QA tracking and trending.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS·

  • Computer Skills: ability to understand and perform some job tasks using a computer.

  • Strong attention-to-detail, accuracy, problem-solving skills.

  • ​ Restaurant experience – Preferred (not required)
  • Reliable transportation (to go back and forth between buildings).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.26 - $23.69 per hour
